Breath & Bodywork

Experience deep relaxation for longer periods of time;
transmute stress into spontaneous healing and vitality

My passion is to inspire you with your breath and its ability to awaken your own innate self-healing abilities. The hands-on bodywork I offer works primarily with the bio-electrical current of your body, opening cellular pathways that address your body awareness, breathing capacity, circulation, and nervous system on a cellular level – something I call “full body flow.”

I blend modalities I have studied, adapted, and developed – Conscious Connected Breath, Shamanic Oneness Approach, Shen Qi deep relaxation, Access Consciousness Points, Tantric/Polarity Healing, Tong Ren Meridian Tapping, Watsu, and others. This is a light-filled touch therapy that you receive while wearing light, loose clothing, most often lying on your back on a massage table.

“I want to thank you for the bodywork. I guess it took me a week or so to integrate it all. I came home from work with renewed energy and excitement about doing some different things. Feels like I have gotten back in touch with myself, my wants, desires, joys, etc. I can’t think of anything else that would have contributed to this change but my time with you. Keep changing lives and I’ll see you next time. And thank you, thank you!” ~ Pauline Bowie, former Rebirthing Instructor, accountant, Seattle

After more than 40 years, beginning with Conscious Connected Breathing, I am still in awe of the body’s ability to heal and transmute trauma. Our bodies are not just physical; there is a multidimensionality to our physical body that includes emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects that I work with intuitively.

Breath bridges the dimensions of your body, heart, mind, and spirit. As it enters you, it becomes prana or life force energy. Prana, or alchemy of breath, blends all four of our dimensions and weaves them into the bio-electrical current that connects all systems and powers our nervous system, internal organs, and muscles.

Like a river, prana carries impulses from the wind of our breath into the muscles and causes movement. When we breathe in a connected way, we take in life that nourishes our spirit and creates an earth-filled atmosphere of wholeness within and around us.

Living can be simple when we give ourselves the gift of circular breathing, which includes a deeper inner body awareness. How you inhale is how you allow life to inspire you; how you exhale is how you let go and allow your spark of life to move through you. Full body flow can become a natural relaxation into stillness. Your breath naturally begins to slow down; your mind quiets; your body relaxes; your heart opens, and the frequency of your spirit lightens and expands naturally.

Your being in a body has the capacity to unwind what’s been wound up during this lifetime. Life experiences are layered, and the unwinding process is circular circuitry, via our tissues through the fascia (connective tissue) and the nervous system. It is a process for our body to unwind when it is stressed by pain or life circumstances.

The combined breath and bodywork I offer first helps your body calm down and let go into deeper levels of relaxation. I sense areas where healthy flow is constricted in any tissue or system – bones, organs, blood vessels, craniosacral areas, head, hands, feet, muscles, and/or nervous system.

Re-connecting with those areas, your body’s ability to heal automatically dissolves the density of dimensional holding patterns that begin to transmute into a full-body flow, dissolving into a wave of bliss.

“Thank you for yesterday’s session.
I am experiencing an energy shift-more positive and in the moment.

Feels good for which I am thankful.” ~ Kabira, Marrowstone Island, WA

What a Session Looks Like

  • I offer a complimentary 20-minute call or zoom chat for any of the sessions listed on this page to connect and build trust.
  • Prior to our initial session, I ask you to fill out an intake form that will help determine what you are coming to see me for.
  • The treatment is done with you lying on a massage table wearing loose, comfortable clothing.
  • I begin either standing at your feet, with my hands on your ankles, or at your head, with my hands on your shoulders, pulsing lightly to sense the subtle rhythmic motions in your body. This helps me discern holding pattern locations and where to move next.
  • I am usually seated with both hands on specific areas – neck, hip, shoulder, or wherever your body indicates it is ready to work.
  • The work is gentle, and my touch is tender and tuned into your body flows.
  • I communicate what I’m noticing, what modality we are using, and where I am feeling to go next. I encourage you to share what you’re feeling or noticing, including images or words that may arise during our time together.
  • The sessions have a natural ebb and flow.
  • Results may be felt immediately, or they may continue to unfold over a few days. Most people feel an immediate shift in their inner state and more relaxed in their bodies.

Soulful Solutions for Vitality and Wellness
Tantric Tune In, Tune Up Energy Alignments

These sessions cover the basic elements of Breath & Bodywork with the addition of: Yin/Yang Balancing & Play, expanding Elemental Awareness, and learning how to circulate, cultivate, and maintain more consistent energy flows in your body.

I have found that combining breath, movement and sound opens up an energy awareness in the body that is automatic, natural, and spontaneous. When the mind relaxes and the thinking process is released, we’re able to drop deeply down into the heart and experience an integrated wholeness of being.

These are the three basic practices I weave into a session with you:

  • Elemental Awareness ~ sensing how air, earth, ether, fire, metal, and water are integrated into our physical bodies; we might address how an element is constricted in your body – either physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually. A variety of healing modalities can be included in addressing and harmonizing the elemental dance of energy on all levels of your being.
  • Yin/Yang Balance & Play ~ when Yin (receptive flows) are out of balance with Yang (active flows) in the body, tension can be felt in the physical and/or emotional aspects of your being. I introduce various breath, movement, and sound exercises for you to tune into your energy flows and playfully, tangibly feel how this shows up in your body.
  • How to circulate, cultivate, and maintain more consistent energy flows ~ I help guide your awareness to where you may not have as much blood circulating, where your body feels cool and/or where your body feels hot. Using breath, movement, and sound energy modalities, you begin to understand that energy flows in your body do not need to feel fixed or stagnant. With basic, simple practices, you learn how to open certain areas of your body up for more energetic flows. We practice together in the session and then you take what you’ve learned home to a daily practice with yourself and/or with your partner.

“Thank you, Grace, for all your support this summer during the time my son was going through his dying process, his memorial service, and helping me with my grieving process. I especially appreciated the guidance you gave me concerning communication with my daughter, son, and son-in-law. How to set better boundaries and remember self-care was primary and still is.”
